Ali Al-Dawood

Filmmaker, Video Editor

I have loved movies all my life, watching them first, exploring the ideas behind them later, finally making them as early as junior high school. This is not just a job. And it is not just a passion. Movies are, for me, a way of life, as they can tell the story of any life, and truly, any life, having been lived, has a story worth telling.

FROM STUDENT TO

PROFESSIONAL

After graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in May 2019 with a bachelor's degree in Film and Television, I began my career at Energy Tech in Dammam as a Digital Media Specialist, managing social media platforms and producing video content.

I also traveled with the company to exhibitions in Kuwait, Bahrain, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi, documenting its participation.

In December 2020, I joined Filmmaster MEA, where I have worked on major events and productions, including Expo 2020 Dubai, the 34th Arab League Summit in Baghdad, Aramco’s iktva, NEOM projects, and the Saudi Film Festival.

My work spans event documentation, video production, editing, time-lapse photography, and aerial cinematography. I also hold a Part 103 drone license in Saudi Arabia.

Today, with more than six years of experience in digital media and video production, I continue to turn my passion for filmmaking into visual stories.
